About Karen Sullivan

In 2003, I made my first trip up the mountain from Georgia. Two years later, I made the decision to move here permanently. I resumed my work as a real estate broker specializing in the residential market of the greater Cashiers area while maintaining my broker’s license in Georgia.

The drive to succeed and the desire to help others do the same are values instilled in me my youth. Born to a hardworking family in the Hershey area of Pennsylvania, I would accompany my father on sales calls. From him, I learned how important it was to treat clients as family, not customers. From my mother and two older sisters, I garnered strength and an independent spirit that still serve as guiding forces in my life to this day.

I am a fierce problem-solver, combining industry know-how with a healthy dose of professional creativity to find the right property for every client, protecting their interests throughout the entire process. I measure my success not in contracts closed, but in the extreme privilege of counting so many of my clients among my treasured friends.

Indeed, friends and family are the center of my universe. My husband, John Sullivan, is president of SullBark Builders. Between us we have two sons and two daughters and are graced with five beautiful grandchildren.

When not at work, I love taking advantage of the many natural amenities that make the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau so special. I love boating on Lake Glenville and navigating the mountain roads on scenic drives. I attend the First Presbyterian Church of Highlands and am an active member of the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley, where I have also served on the Board of Directors and as past-President, respectively.

Mostly, though I enjoy spending my days helping others find their own personal Paradise here on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau. So come on up (or over), and I’ll help you find yours, too!
